The Royal Holloway Community Research Hub have launched a new initiative to partner research students as volunteers with charities and other non-profits.  This provides the organisations with research and data analysis that they wouldn't otherwise have the resource to obtain and in turn the students gain valuable real life experience.  If you would like to be involved in this project see here for more detail.

Action for Carers Surrey in partnership with the Surrey Muslim Association are holding a Muslim Carers Engagement Event which will take place at the Parkview Community Centre in Woking on Thursday  15th November from 10 - 2 pm.  See here for more detail.

Action for Carers Surrey are organising free Young Carers Training Workshops in November on 4 different dates and locations.  The sessions are being organised by Action for Carers Surrey in collaboration with Surrey County Council.  See details here.

Sparklers, a charity providing support for families of children and young people with additional needs, autism and related conditions, is  holding some Stay and Play Plus sessions.  See the 2017 half term sessions, the Christmas 2017 session, the Spring 2018 dates, the Summer 2018 dates and Christmas 2018.


The Surrey Law Centre hold free Legal Advice Clinics across Surrey and their mission is “Helping disadvantaged & vulnerable people defend their legal rights”.  See the locations of the clinics here.


Do you have a large group of volunteers?  If so the Surrey Heath Show has a great opportunity for your community group.  A group of 25 - 28 people are needed to manage car parking at The Surrey Heath Show 2018 on Saturday 19th May 2018 directing cars into the three car parks used at Frimley Lodge Park.  Experience in marshalling traffic would be useful to ensure a smooth flow of traffic on site.  All  necessary safety equipment is provided and your organisation will receive a generous donation for their efforts!  If you would like to help please email surreyheathshow@gmail.com.
