TRAINING COURSES

CHAIRMAN TRAINING
Come along to our half day workshop on 'Chairman Best Practice' which will take place on Friday 15th September 2017 from 9.30 to 12.30 pm at our Chertsey office (6 The Sainsbury Centre, Chertsey KT16 9AG).

This workshop is aimed at Chairs who are new in post or those who wish to improve their governance.  The focus is on the role in practice, looking at preparing and chairing board meetings, working with your CEO/lead officer, as well as building a collaborative and effective governing body.  The session will also explore the responsibilities and leadership skills required, plus the support that you might need, offering some tips that might be useful in your particular setting.

To book a space please email louise@voluntarysupport.org.uk or ring 01932 571122.

A further one day's training on the sustainability of trustees will be held in October/November and details will be circulated as soon as these are available.

Digital Fundraising in Staines on 14th November 2017

Are you exploring all your fundraising options?
If more than half the UK population is using social media how can you make digital income a funding source for your organisation?  The term ‘digital fundraising’ is getting a lot of publicity and all it means is fundraising on line instead of writing applications or tin rattling.  Our Digital Fundraising course will make you aware of the tools available to you and how to utilise them.

The course will cover:

 The digital tools available

 How to create a digital campaign

 Measuring your success

 Crowdfunding

Learn from the experiences and successes of other local voluntary organisations and if appropriate share your own.

To book a space please email louise@voluntarysupport.org.uk or ring 01932 571122.
