SUMMARY:Charity Networking Event - October 2024
DESCRIPTION:This is the new date after our Charity Networking Event on 12 September was re-scheduled. If you signed up to the September event please re-submit your RSVP below. \nOur popular quarterly networking event for charities and community groups that will equip you with ideas you can take back to your organisation is a wonderful opportunity to connect with like-minded groups and build relationships with third-sector colleagues and funders alike. \nWe can confirm that one of our speakers for this quarter’s Charity Networking Event is Amy Sellers\, Principal Consultant at Nature Metrics\, who will be discussing how charities can become carbon neutral. Amy kindly contributed an article to our August newsletter on this very topic which can be found here. \nFurther speakers to be confirmed. \nIf you have any questions about our upcoming Charity Networking Event\, please email jordan@voluntarysupport.org.uk. Or you can give us a call on 01932 571122.

SUMMARY:GDPR Training
DESCRIPTION:Voluntary Support are delighted to announce that we will be running GDPR training on Monday\, 15 July led by Jason Gaskell\, Chief Executive of Surrey Community Action. \nGDPR is far more than just asking people to tick a box on a “do not contact” form\, but it’s not as complex as it seems at first glance\, or some make it seem. Whether you are new to GDPR\, or just need a refresher\, why not join us for a whistle-stop tour of what GDPR is\, why we should care\, and what should we do about it. Jason Gaskell has trained over 150 organisations from across the voluntary sector to help them on their GDPR journey\, as well as going through his own as CEO of Surrey Community Action\, so he knows how to make it simple\, accessible to all\, and what happens when things go wrong. \nThis training session will run between 1pm and 4pm at ADP UK Head Office in Staines. Tea and coffee will be provided on the day. \nIf you have any questions about the GDPR training\, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Please email jordan@voluntarysupport.org.uk or give us a call on 01932 571122.
