DESCRIPTION:Our Volunteer Managers’ Forum is open to anyone who works or volunteers in North Surrey and who is involved in the recruitment and/or management/supervision of volunteers.\nVolunteer Management can sometimes be a solitary role within an organisation\, and our Forum is a great way to meet other people who are doing a similar role to you and learn from shared experiences. We’re all in this together is never more true than now! As part of how we support you and how we all support each other\, please join us for this session. \nWe will be concentrating on two topics for this Forum: \n\nVirtual Volunteering. The last few years have highlighted the importance of flexible volunteering and the need to carry out tasks remotely. We will look at the volunteering roles that you have and how these could be adapted to be ‘virtual’.\nYoung Volunteers (19-25). 31% of voluntary organisations have seen a decrease in volunteers aged 50+ in the year following the start of the pandemic – has this affected your organisation? Join us to discuss and share ideas around how to engage with and recruit young volunteers aged 19-25.\n\nWe’ll also take the time to look at the what the main issues are for Volunteer Managers at the moment and how we might deal with them. We’ll be learning from each other – what has your organisation been doing\, what resources have you found useful and so on.
