Local businesses brave the March weather to make a difference

It takes a brave team to commit to a day volunteering in March when you never quite know what the weather will throw at you, but brave teams were in abundance this year.
Last month saw teams putting up a shed for a community allotment (top work from the Spelthorne Borough Council), tackling tasks at a very wet horse sanctuary (kudos to the hardy souls from ADP), clearing ground at community gardens (excellent effort from VM Ware), painting and cleaning at a watersports centre (teamwork at its best from Service Now) and exercising rescued greyhounds (wonderful walkies from Jaegermeister).
For charities with outside space, spring brings a wealth of jobs to tackle and willing volunteers at this time of year can really give groups a boost. Many thanks to those who gave their time so willingly despite the weather and had such a big impact on the groups they supported (and we hope had some fun along the way too).
