Jordan Heights Scout Campsite Assistant Warden

Reigate District Scouting’s campsite, located on Reigate Hill, a small, secluded site offering camping and activity opportunities to young people in Scouting, Guiding and DofE Groups. Although small, it has great plans, providing a wealth of learning and adventure. We are now looking to recruit an Assistant Warden to support the day to day running of the site and future development plans.

The role of the Campsite Assistant Warden is to help recruit and manage a team of adults and young people for specific functions necessary for:

• The safety and enjoyment of all site users
• The security and safety of the site and all equipment
• Maintenance and development of the site
• Improve the site facilities
• Promote the site to generate further income and funding
• Create a long term plan, in conjunction with Campsite Warden, Campsite Committee and Team District Commissioner, for the site

What skills do I need?

Willingness to get involved with a hands on approach

Friendly and approachable

Manage small team effectively, delegating and prioritising where appropriate

Able to manage conflict

Good interpersonal and communication skills

Organised 

Training will/can be provided.
