Talking Tree
Talking Tree exists to raise community awareness and action to combat the negative effects of climate change. We believe that millions of little actions by ordinary people, can make a big positive difference for our local area and our planet.
Our vision is to make Spelthorne carbon neutral and the most nature-rich, sustainable, healthy and happy community in the UK.
Our bike project, currently run from our cafe in Staines High Street, encourages people to donate bikes, which are then repaired and sold at low cost. We are looking for volunteers who can help train volunteers to repair the donated bikes ready for sale.

Ideally volunteers will have some experience of working on bicycles. A good communicator who can share their knowledge and train others is essential.
This could be a suitable role for a Duke of Edinburgh Award student (age 17+).
