The Hythe Primary School
We need volunteers to listen to our children read. Like anyone else, children get better at doing things by practising. Most of our classes have 30 children in each so getting one to one support with reading is difficult. Our volunteers are an incredible resource helping our children to develop reading skills.
We are flexible about when you come and volunteer, we want to create an experience that works for everyone. We provide volunteers with information about how reading is taught at school so that you can support our children and get started as quickly as possible.
Good level of written and spoken English. This does not mean that English needs to be your first language.
