We are actively looking for further volunteers to work with our production company in any of the following roles:  Cast (performing in musicals, plays and other theatrical productions), Creatives (writers, directors, musical directors or choreographers) or Crew (lighting, sound, stage crew, costumes or prop management among other roles).

We are a local community group whose aim is to put community at the heart of everything that we do.  We currently produce two shows a year – a company wide spring musical with a cast of around 40 members, plus additional crew and creative teams.  We are also putting on a smaller autumn show, which allows for opportunities for other writers, directors, crew members or cast to showcase their talents and explore other theatrical options outside of our traditional home at Camberley Theatre.

As a volunteer, you can be involved with the whole process of producing a show, from initial concept to final production.  We work with a wide range of talent, from professionals working in the industry to keen amateurs whose only experience of stage work is with Camus Productions.  We are still, however, ambitious and aim to produce the highest quality productions we can.

What skills do I need?

A broad outline of tasks and activities to be undertaken:

Cast:  attending rehearsals, participating actively in workshops, rehearsals and working professionally with all other cast, crew and creatives within the company

Creatives:  submitting interest and ideas for future productions, creating a vision and present this to committee for consideration, coordinate with production and technical managers within the company to discuss show requirements, working within a budget, working with the cast to prepare, rehearse and stage a production from beginning to end of the process.

Crew:  Working under the general direction of the director, production manager and technical manager to ensure that all technical aspects of show production are met.
