Chairman for TALK Surrey (SH)

TALK Surrey aims to support people with aphasia following a stroke by enabling them to practise all aspects of communication and promote confidence in a supportive environment, leading to increased participation and independence within the community.

TALK Surrey are seeking a Chairman to lead our regular committee meetings (every two months), support our two professional staff, the TALK Co-ordinator and Fundraiser and, from time to time, represent TALK on the public stage.

The Chairman would be required to attend any relevant local health authority meetings, keep up to date with changes in health funding.  Advise management of volunteers and patient referrals.

Committee meetings are held in Guildford, this position would be more suitable to someone who lives in or around the Guildford area.
