Care in Shepperton (SP)
Make a difference with just one drive a month.
Care in Shepperton is looking for friendly and reliable volunteer drivers to help elderly or unwell residents get to medical appointments, collect prescriptions, or access essential services such as hairdressers, opticians, or the library.
All journeys take place within a 5-mile radius of Shepperton, including Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals. You can choose to be a duty driver one day per month or offer help occasionally as a back-up driver.
This is a flexible, rewarding way to support your local community — and brighten someone’s day with a simple lift.
Please note: A DBS check may be required. You’ll need a valid driving licence, insurance, and MOT. Mileage expenses may be reimbursed.
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
- Careful and considerate drivers
- Friendly, patient, and good at listening
- Reliable and happy to support older or vulnerable people
- Able to keep basic journey records and communicate availability
- Hold a valid driving licence, insurance, and MOT
