Care in Shepperton (SP)
Care in Shepperton is looking for friendly and reliable volunteer drivers to help elderly or unwell TW17 residents get to medical appointments: Hospitals, Health Centres, Opticians, Dentists, etc.
Most journeys take place within a 5-mile radius of Shepperton, including Ashford and St Peter’s Hospitals. You can choose to be a duty driver one day per month or offer help occasionally as a back-up driver.
This is a flexible, rewarding way to support your local community — and brighten someone’s day with a simple lift.
Please note: A DBS check will be required. You’ll need a four door car in good condition, valid driving licence, insurance, and MOT. Mileage expenses can be reimbursed.
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
- Careful and considerate drivers
- Friendly, patient, and good at listening
- Reliable and happy to support older or vulnerable people
- Able to keep basic journey records and communicate availability
- Hold a valid driving licence, insurance, and MOT.
