Events Volunteer

Help out at our big events that make a big difference as an events volunteer. Whether it’s cheering on runners at the London Marathon or directing people at our Sunrise Walk, just a few hours of your time as an events volunteer can be invaluable in helping our major events to be a success. 

Helping out at major events like the London Marathon, cheering on runners Supporting at local community events bucket collecting and raising the profile of SSCH. Tasks can be varied depending on the event such as serving refreshments, giving out medals, marshalling, leaflet dropping and helping set up and take down equipment.

What skills do I need?

Being an events volunteer is all about having fun while keeping things on track! You'll need to be organized to help with the event's flow, and good communication skills are key since you'll be chatting with attendees, sponsors, and other volunteers. Things can change quickly, so being able to adapt and think on your feet is super helpful. A friendly, positive attitude goes a long way, and teamwork makes the dream work! Plus, having a bit of a customer-service mindset ensures everyone has a great time.
