Merstham Community Facility Trust (MCFT)
Established in 2006, Merstham Community Facility Trust (MCFT) is a charity that aims to support, connect, and empower the local community. We work with the public and other organisations in a common effort to improve social welfare, health, education, employment and the general quality of life of members of the local community. Based in the vibrant Merstham Hub, MCFT provides a safe, accessible space for individuals to receive inclusive access to provisions and opportunities.
About the role:
As a Food Waste Volunteer, you will play a vital role in reducing food waste and supporting your local community by redistributing surplus food to those in need. This role involves sorting food, as well as raising awareness about food waste and sustainability by being part of the community fridge volunteer team.

The ideal volunteer will have:
• A passion for sustainability and reducing food waste.
• Reliable and punctual.
• Good organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to volunteer independently and as part of a team.
