Our Shed / Workshop is small but perfectly formed and, as we continue to grow, we need more people willing and able to take on the interesting but sometimes hectic work of meeting and greeting our lovely visitors, explaining how we work, steering them to a repairer, and tactfully reminding them about making a donation.

Activities include:

  • Meeting and greeting visitors.
  • Making introductions of visitors to repairers.
  • Some queue management.
  • Asking people for donations.
  • Some record keeping.

What’s in it for you:

  • Purpose & pride helping others while making a difference to the environment and cost of living.
  • Friendships and being part of the community.
  • Opportunities for personal development of organisation and social skills.
  • Opportunities to help others develop their skills.
  • Increased employability.

What skills do I need?

  • A friendly manner.
  • Calm and organised approach in busy situations.
  • Self confidence to politely instruct visitors.
  • Good level of personal organisation.
