Futures Volunteer (CSVA)

The Sunnybank Trust is a vibrant community charity that believes that people with learning disabilities should be able to live without prejudice and have confidence, opportunities, and control over their own lives.

We are looking for volunteers to join our team and provide support to our Futures groups which enable our partners to learn new skills for independent living and work and to build healthy relationships and be included in the community.

Responsibilities include:

For the Monday group

• Assisting the session leader with resources and getting the room ready.

• Supporting partners to develop office skills like photocopying, printing, Word documents, laminating, producing basic PowerPoint presentations.

• Occasional trips out in the Epsom area.

For the Wednesday group

• Assisting the session leader with resources and getting the room ready.

• Supporting partners with a range of activities including travel, cooking, planning activities, technology and money skills.

• Trips out in the Epsom area

What skills do I need?

• Are over 18

• You are willing to volunteer between approx. 2 hours per week

• Flexible (as sometimes session times change)

• You are happy to work as part of a team to get things done

• You have experience of an office environment and Microsoft office applications
