SeeAbility (CSVA)
At SeeAbility we specialise in supporting people with learning disabilities and autism, who may also have sight loss, to realise their goals each and every day. We encourage people with disabilities to challenge what they expect from life, from themselves and from wider society. Registered as The Royal School for the Blind, SeeAbility is one of the oldest disability charities in the UK and has pioneered specialist support for over 220 years. We are looking for gardeners to help us maintain the communal gardens belonging to our homes in Leatherhead . The gardens give great enjoyment to the individuals who live there.
Times are flexible to suit the volunteer. You don't need to make a big time commitment - just an hour a week or a few hours once a month would help us keep on top of the gardens.
This is a fantastic opportunity to give something positive back to society and have a direct impact on people’s lives. Gardening is a great way to get out and about, stay fit and meet new people.
This role will suit someone who is patient and has good gardening skills and is interested in plants . We do not require any formal qualifications.
