Get Involved at the Heart of the Community – Volunteer at The Mytchett Centre!

Want to meet new people, support your neighbourhood, and get involved in fun local events? The Mytchett Centre is looking for friendly volunteers to lend a hand at our community hub throughout the year – including upcoming events like the Family Fun Day on Bank Holiday Monday, 26 August.

Whether you have a little time to spare or are looking to get more involved, this is a great opportunity to make a difference, gain experience, and be part of something positive in the community.

What you could be doing:

• Helping at local events such as the Family Fun Day or Halloween Special

• Supporting with setting up or packing down stalls, tables or equipment

• Assisting with games, refreshments or general event coordination

• Greeting attendees and helping things run smoothly on the day

• Getting involved in ongoing centre activities as and when needed

We’ll match your time and interests to our needs – whether it’s just an hour here and there or regular involvement. Every bit of help makes a difference.

What skills do I need?

You don’t need any specific experience – just a positive attitude and a willingness to join in. We’re looking for people who are:

• Friendly, approachable, and happy to work with others

• Good team players who enjoy being part of a community group

• Reliable and willing to muck in where needed

• Open to learning and trying new things

• Enthusiastic about local events and meeting new people

We’ll find a role to suit your skills and interests – from hands-on help to behind-the-scenes support.
