GirlGuiding Staines District (SP)
Unit Helpers can be females or males aged over 18 who give their time and skills to support a unit. Support may involve:
- Working with small group of young people
- Helping in the preparation of unit records
- Helping in the preparation of Financial records for the unit
- Helping to provide a safe environment for the girls and others working with the units
Unit helpers agree to abide by Girlguiding's policies and rules.
Unit helpers are adult Members of Girlguiding. They receive benefits such as Guiding Magazine and can wear the new membership badge and items from the adult clothing range. As members, female unit helpers can make the Promise and wear the Promise.
Unit helpers must complete the Girlguiding recruitment checks.
Anyone with an interest in supporting the local community and the guiding organisation
