ICT Adviser

We work from a beautiful Victorian house in Frimley Green, close to the canal, gifted to us in the 1960s for our work offering Wellbeing days and stays to the most excluded and isolated families. We also have a house in Camberwell in South London.

 We are looking for a volunteer with IT experience who is in sympathy with our work, someone who can:

• Advise on aligning our IT infrastructure with our current and future goals.
• Improve our use of Google Workspace, Microsoft Business, Mailchimp, and Donorfy and enabling us to link these systems together in a way that will enhance our work to eradicate poverty, without compromising confidentiality and data security.
• Help us update our WordPress website, including archiving and developing a resource catalogue.

• Support us in maintaining personal computers, laptops, servers, cabling and internet access and advise on purchasing of new, or updated hardware and systems, in particular for Windows 11.
• Inform us about what else we should be aware of, particularly in relation to cybersecurity.

We are a friendly and supportive team of staff, volunteers and family activists. 

What skills do I need?

• Experience of setting up computer systems in either commercial or voluntary sector.
• Experience of Wordpress websites, Google based workspaces, Microsoft Business, Mailchimp and CRM systems would be helpful.
• Problem solver with the inclination and ability to solve hardware and data systems problems simply.
• The ability to work with non-technical people and bring them to a functional level of expertise for varied office and data work.
