Drive for Good – Volunteer Minibus Driver Needed (Afternoons, Woking)

Would you like to make a real difference in just one hour a day? LinkAble, a Woking-based charity supporting children with additional needs, is looking for a Volunteer Minibus Driver to help with school pickups for their new Afterschool Club launching in November.

This is a short but high-impact role, ideal for a reliable and community-minded individual who can spare one hour, Monday to Thursday (term time only).

Key Info

  • Days: Monday to Thursday (term time only)

  • Time: Approx. 2.40pm–3.30pm (1 hour total)

  • Pick-up: LinkAble Centre, Woking → Freemantles School OR Pond Meadow School

  • Return: Children dropped back at the LinkAble Centre after collection

  • Volunteers can commit to 1 day a week or more

    What You’ll Do
    • Collect a minibus from the LinkAble Centre in Woking

    • Drive to either Freemantles or Pond Meadow School to collect children

    • Return them safely to the Centre for the Afterschool Club

    • Ensure a calm, positive and safe atmosphere throughout the short journey

What skills do I need?

You don’t need to be a professional driver – just someone responsible, calm, and caring.

  • Aged 21+ and have held a full driving licence for at least 3 years

  • Confident driving a minibus (training and support available)

  • Good time-keeping and communication skills

  • Comfortable engaging with children with additional needs

  • Friendly and supportive attitude – reliability is key

This is a simple yet powerful way to support young people in your local area and be a key part of their daily routine.
