ParkPlay PlayLeaders - Carrington School

In partnership with Active Surrey and Surrey County Council we are establishing a brand new ParkPlay community project at Carrington School. Before we launch in the Autumn we are looking for local, PlayLeaders to help run fun activities for families within the community.

We are looking for a team of PlayLeaders who will be instrumental in setting up, welcoming people leading activities and including everyone in games and activities every Saturday morning.

PlayLeaders will be provided with;

• Training (first aid, safeguarding, on demand games and guides.
• Resources & Equipment (clothing, activity equipment bag and games to play)
• A community of likeminded people (newsletters, hub app to connect, weekly support direct from Park Play)

What skills do I need?

• Able to plan and lead basic games and activities is key so any experience with working with groups of people
• Organising into teams
• Able to address a group to engage them in activities
• Having access to and comfortable with IT to be able to navigate online training and database.
• Working as part of a small team of volunteers to coordinate weekly activity sessions for the community
• Having confidence to engage with new people and encourage them to get involved.
