Little Roo Neonatal Fund is the charitable fund that supports sick and premature babies, their families and the staff who care for them on the neonatal intensive care unit at St. Peter’s.

We have an exciting volunteering opportunity for an individual who is skilled in and passionate about digital communications, to drive engagement and raise awareness of the fund in our community.

You will work with the Little Roo charity team and assist with digital content creation for our social media channels and website.

The role involves creating (design and copy) content, planning, and scheduling posts, creating templates, measuring performance, and making recommendations for future activity.

We are currently in the process of launching our new website, once this is launched, content management and further development will be required. Little Roo uses their social media channels to raise awareness and increase engagement with the fund.

We are a collaborative team, and you will have the chance to make suggestions and be innovative. The role can work around your schedule, we expect it will take a few hours each week once up and running.

What you will be doing:

  • Assisting with simple questions
  • Making drinks for patients and replenishing patient water
  • Assisting at meal times
  • Cleaning and/or making beds
  • Stocking up trolleys/cupboards
  • Talking to patient.

These are just an example of some of the tasks you may be asked to assist with. This list is not exhaustive and you may be asked to help in other areas of the hospital due to operational demand.
