About Surrey Remap

Across the UK, Remap has 65+ local branches that help disabled people live more independently. Our network of skilled volunteers responds to thousands of requests each year to design and make customised equipment for the disabled. Surrey Remap is one of those local branches.

About the role

The Publicity Officer volunteer will raise the awareness of our branch activities within the local disabled community. The successful applicant will create engaging stories and articles about the branch’s work, develop marketing material and thereby play an essential role in publicising Surrey Remap work at a local level.

The role will target two markets. Clinical professionals such as physiotherapists and occupational therapists, and people with a technical and practical engineering background. Essentially, the former brings in projects which we can work on, and the latter brings in the people who can design and make the solutions that benefit the disabled. At the time of writing, we have sufficient Designer / Makers so most effort will be aimed at clinical professionals.
