The Reception team provides the first and last point of contact at the Hospice for visitors/clients, health care professionals and other agencies, both face to face and on the telephone.

We’re looking for a Reception Volunteer who can provide a friendly, empathetic and efficient Front of House reception service by welcoming and directing our visitors, being mindful of the needs of distressed relatives, answering phone calls and pro-actively responding to the wide range of enquiries and questions asked at Reception.

Full training and support are provided to support you with your volunteering journey at Princess Alice Hospice.

We’re looking for volunteers to cover a regular 4pm-6pm shift on Fridays and/or 4pm-6pm on a ‘floating’ basis throughout the week.
