Retail Assistant - Esher

Age UK Surrey charity shop in Esher are looking for volunteers who will greet customers and make them feel welcome.

Part of the role of retail assistant will be:

• Serving customers on the till
• Help to display and sell merchandise in our shop and be a major part of the team
• Sorting and valuing donated items

Revenue for the shop helps support our services to older people.

  No previous retail knowledge is necessary but you need

• A desire to learn
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
• You  have a friendly and helpful attitude at all times

What skills do I need?

It does not matter whether you have retail experience  or you are experienced in shop sales - you will receive:

• All training and support needed for this role
• We want our shop to become known in the local area for being the place to go if you are looking for specific items
• The opportunity to gain new skills and experience in retail and you will be in a friendly team and supported by your Manager.
• The role is an opportunity to gain new skills and experience in retail and merchandising
• You will be attending a new volunteer Induction and shop training
