Runnymede Foodbank Tesco Summer Collections

We hope that you and your family are well and have been enjoying the recent spells of good weather.  We have seen the number of clients needing our help continue to drop a bit in recent months.  However, despite the total number of client parcels we provided in Q1 2025 being lower than the number in Q4 2025, we are still the largest Trussell Foodbank in Surrey (as measured by the number of people fed by the Foodbanks in 2024).

Tesco is continuing to demonstrate it's support of Foodbanks by allowing this collection to proceed with volunteers manning the stores.  These collections are very important as they enable the foodbank to restock their warehouse shelves with basic food items and particularly with the items that they are low on.

The dates for this collection are: Thursday, Friday & Saturday July 3, July 4 & July 5.  Please mark these dates on your calendar.

Once again, we have been very lucky and will be able to collect at all three stores: Tesco Extra in Ashford, Tesco Extra in Addlestone and Tesco Superstore in Egham.  This means that during this collection we have the opportunity to staff the foyer area in each of these stores on all three days.

Please have a look at your diary and see if you are able to support us by giving us just two hours from your week (or more if you are able to).  The scheduled sessions on each day are from:
      9am - 11am
    11am - 1pm
     1pm  - 3pm
     3pm  - 5pm

We typically have a large number of vacancies at Tesco Ashford, so please let me know if you are willing to volunteer there.
