Queen Mary Sailability offers disabled adults and children the chance to enjoy sailing — from relaxing cruises to exciting races — in a safe and supportive environment. Our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.
As a Sailing Assistant, you'll play a key role in helping sailors with physical, sensory, or learning disabilities enjoy time on the water. You might assist with getting boats ready, helping participants into sailing gear, or even supporting them in and out of boats. If you have sailing experience, you may also have the chance to skipper.
Sessions run from April to November on:
Whether you're on the water or helping on shore, this is a fun, social, and deeply fulfilling volunteering opportunity.
Please note: This role may require a DBS (Criminal Records) check.

Sailing experience is a bonus but not essential — enthusiasm and empathy matter most.
