Social Media Engagement Volunteer

We are seeking an enthusiastic and tech-savvy individual to join our team as a Social Media Engagement volunteer. In this role, you will support Families Thriving Together (FTT) in managing our social media platforms effectively and creating engaging content. Through your expertise in social media, you will help amplify our mission, engage with our audience, and drive meaningful impact. This role will be responsible for:

• Assessing our social media needs (understanding our goals, social media needs and target audience).
• Creating developing and engaging content including text, images, videos and infographics. 
• Engaging with the community by monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and mentions
• Tracking and analysing social media metrics to assess the effectiveness of campaigns and content. 
• Staying up to date with social media trends and best practices. 

If you can spare 2 to 3 hours per week to support us, we'd love to hear from you. 

What skills do I need?

• Strong written and visual communication skills
• Basic knowledge of social media analytics and reporting
• Experience creating high-quality content for social media and other online platforms.
• Proficient in using relevant software and tools is not required but would be ideal (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, social media management platforms)
• A good understanding of the charity's mission and goals.
• A commitment to the charity's values and a willingness to work as part of a team.
• Previous experience in social media management or marketing is preferred but not required.
