The Frimley Fuel Allotments, with a history dating back more than 200 years, exists to help people in need, poverty and hardship in the old parish of Frimley now defined by the GU15 and 16 postcodes covering Camberley, Frimley, Frimley Green, Deepcut and Mytchett. The Charity has an annual income of over £200,000 for these purposes. As Treasurer, you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing the financial health of our organisation. Working closely with the Chair and fellow Trustees, you’ll ensure transparency, accountability, and sustainability in all financial matters.

Key Responsibilities: Monitor the charity’s financial position and ensure effective financial controls are in place Present regular financial reports to the Board Work with the team to prepare budgets, forecasts, and annual accounts Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory financial obligations

What skills do I need?

  • Experience in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping (qualified accountant desirable but not essential)
  • Understanding of charity finance or willingness to learn Strong attention to detail and integrity
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly
  • A local connection to the GU15/16 area through residence or business or voluntary involvement
  • Availability of approximately six hours per week
