Letherhead Institute (CSVA)
The LIT maintains the Leatherhead Institute building which is a Victorian building currently undertaking some modernisation/repairs, in order to provide a community centre in Leatherhead town centre.
We are looking for a proactive person to join our small team of committed trustees in achieving this.
There is a trustees meeting every quarter from 5.15 to 7.15 on a Monday at the Institute which you would be expected to attend. Outside of this, work carried out on behalf of the charity is generally at home and would be likely to average out at an hour per week.
A background in any of the following areas would be desirable but not essential - building / law / small organisations / accountancy / grant applications.
Applicants should have an interest in local history, building conservation and/or an enthusiasm for providing a community centre within the town centre.

There is a quarterly trustees meeting on a Monday evening, although there is the scope to change should Mondays not be suitable for the right candidate.
This opportunity can be carried out whilst working from home.
