GirlGuiding Staines District (SP)
Help girls discover fun, friendship, and adventure!
As a Unit Helper with Girlguiding Staines District, you’ll be part of a supportive team delivering exciting weekly activities for girls aged 4–18. You’ll help run sessions for Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, or Rangers, depending on the unit, and create a welcoming, safe space for young people to grow in confidence and develop life skills.
You’ll attend weekly meetings (term time), help plan and deliver engaging sessions based on the Girlguiding programme, and support trips, camps, and local events. This is a rewarding and social volunteering opportunity where you’ll have fun while making a difference in the lives of girls and young women in your community.
Training and support are provided, and your level of involvement can be tailored to your availability.
We’re looking for volunteers who are:
- Good listeners and communicators
- Supportive team players
- Willing to learn and take part in training
- Responsible and attentive to safety and safeguarding
- Reliable and enthusiastic about working with children and young people
No prior Girlguiding experience is needed — just enthusiasm and a willingness to get involved!
