Walton Stroke Group (CSVA)
Walton Stroke Group aim to benefit Stroke Recoverers and their Carers with a programme of social activities, therapies and friendship.
The social group which meets on Mondays at Walton Centre for the Community gives stroke recoverers the opportunity to share experiences and receive recovering support from our team of volunteers.
We are seeking a new Vice-Chair person who has a passion to help a small charity-based team. We are looking for a Vice-Chair person to join us in our small but longstanding local charity, which was set up to provide FUN for Stroke recoverers.
Previous Vice-Charing experience is not necessary and we welcome applications from all ages and backgrounds. On the job training will be available if required. If you have some free time and want to put it to good use why not contact us?
We meet weekly at the Walton Centre from 10.00 to 1pm on a Monday morning : we have activities and subsidised physiotherapy, but also enjoy each other’s company and support – and have a laugh!
The vice-chair person will actively seek to recruit new stroke members and their family, support friends, to join us in the club by following methods leading to being able to contact them : Family doctors and hospital administrators and the Day Centre TALK, for example.
We welcome any new ideas and innovation on how we can go forward in improving our services at the Walton Stroke Group and the vice-chair person will offer a programme of fun , interest and entertainment.
We’re looking for confident, friendly and well organised person to join our Chair person at Walton Stroke Group.
No specific qualifications are required.
We welcome people of all ages, backgrounds and experience with fresh ideas and perspectives who want to help local people to have fun.
If you have knowledge and/or understanding of the charity, private or public sectors, coupled with understanding the chair persons duties and ability to apportion them amongst committee members if necessary.
