Age Concern - Banstead (VASE)
This is a very flexible role, emails are sent out to all volunteer drivers once or twice a week with details of requests and are then allocated on a first come first serve basis.
You do not need to commit to certain days/times or number of drives. Most volunteers do one drive a week or less, a few do more. Clients are invoiced for drives so volunteers do not have to deal with any monies. Clients are expected to pay any parking charges.
Volunteers take elderly clients to local hospitals and clinics for other medical appointments. These drives are mainly to local dentists, opticians, GPs and local hospitals and 99% are on Mondays to Fridays (occasional hospital requests for a weekend).
Volunteers use their own vehicles.
Friendly, caring and sympathetic nature and a clean driving licence.
