Volunteer Events Assistant (CSVA)

The Sunnybank Trust is a vibrant community charity that believes that people with learning disabilities should be able to live without prejudice and have confidence, opportunities, and control over their own lives. This role is instrumental in securing funding opportunities, grants, and partnerships to ensure the continuous growth and success of the charity's initiatives and help it to achieve its aims.

Responsibilities are varied but could include:

• Helping to set up and pack away displays and promotional materials at events

• Engaging with the public to promote the work of The Sunnybank Trust

• Collecting donations door to door as part of organised Christmas Santa collections

• Supporting adults with learning disability to engage with the public

• Selling raffle tickets etc

• Handling money and cashing up at the end of an event

What skills do I need?

• Good organisational and multitasking abilities

• Experience in coordinating and managing events would be a bonus

• Happy to roll your sleeves up and carry out varying activities

• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team

• Flexibility to adapt to changing event needs and schedules

• Understanding of health and safety regulations for events.
