We’re looking for more wonderful volunteers to join us at our upcoming community events and fundraising activities. These events are a huge part of how we raise awareness and vital funds for local families, and having extra hands truly makes all the difference.

As a Volunteer Fundraiser, you might be:

Helping run a stall, chatting to visitors, selling items, or managing a tombola.

Supporting a charity day, welcoming families, guiding participants, or assisting with activities.

Cheering on participants, bringing energy and encouragement to sponsored events.

Lending a hand with set‑up or pack‑down, helping us get everything ready and running smoothly.

You don’t need any experience, just kindness, reliability, and a willingness to get stuck in. You’ll be part of a friendly, supportive team, and every bit of help directly supports local families who need us.

If you’d like to get involved, we’d absolutely love to hear from you.

What skills do I need?

Good communication — comfortable speaking with the public, welcoming visitors, and representing Home‑Start positively.

Teamwork — happy working alongside other volunteers and staff in a friendly, supportive environment.

Reliability — able to commit to agreed times and follow through on tasks.

Basic organisation — helpful for managing stalls, handling small tasks, or supporting set‑up and pack‑down.

Positive attitude — bringing warmth, enthusiasm, and kindness to community events.

Flexibility — willing to help with different tasks depending on what’s needed on the day.

Comfort interacting with families — especially at charity days or community activities.

Light physical ability — optional, but helpful for lifting boxes, setting up tables, or packing down stalls.
