Medical Detection Dogs trains dogs to detect the odour of human disease.

Our team of Bio Detection Dogs detect diseases such as Cancer, Parkinson's and COVID-19 and could provide fast, accurate, earlier and non-invasive diagnosis.

We also have Medical Alert Assistance Dogs who warn clients with complex health conditions when they are about it have a potentially life-threatening episode so they can take the necessary action and stay safe and out of hospital.

Our dogs are saving lives now and have the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives in the future.

But we need your help.

Do you enjoy fundraising or think you might?

Would you like to get out and about and chat to people about our work? Then why not become an fundraiser for Medical Detection Dogs!

You can have fun, build up your CV, meet lots of new people, learn new skills and contribute directly to a really worthwhile cause. Without our fundraisers, Medical Detection Dogs cannot continue the life-saving work we do.

We are looking for people to help us, whether it’s collecting at a local supermarket, organising or supporting at an event, or even arranging a bake sale. We can support your events and fundraising tasks remotely, and sometimes will be able to get other volunteers to come and support your events.

We need to raise over £2.5 million a year, which amounts to around £5 per minute. We do this with the help of an amazing team of volunteers and we couldn\'t continue are work without them. Would you like to join the team?

What skills do I need?

Working as part of a team is a very important part of this role and also having the confidence to speak to anyone that is interested about our work.

Creativity in planning ideas will also come in handy! The opportunities for what you could do to fundraise are endless!
