The Therapy Garden (SH)
We require Client Support volunteers to assist in the garden alongside our horticulturists in the supervision of our adult and teenage clients with a variety of disabilities. Duties will include general gardening work as well as assisting our clients, both children and adults with the opportunity to achieve a qualification in horticulture. We are open five days a week, Monday to Friday. Our adult clients attend all year round but our teenagers only attend during school term times.
No gardening experience is required, just the ability to get along with others and muck in! This can be a great stepping stone to further education or work opportunities for our clients.
We are looking for volunteers for any weekday. Typically our volunteers will be with us for one day a week, although we are happy for volunteers to do more than one day.
The garden is based in Normandy near Guildford.
