MCR Pathways needs compassionate volunteers (21+) to support disadvantaged young people across Surrey schools. As a mentor, you’ll provide consistent, caring guidance to help a young person recognise their worth and potential.

Your Impact:
• Weekly 1-hour meetings during term-time at a school near you
• Build trust through active listening and encouragement
• Help your mentee navigate challenges and build confidence
• Champion their talents and aspirations

What skills do I need?

No specific experience or skills are required, just the ability to be there for the young person, to listen and to care.

We will need to conduct a DBS check at no cost to you, as well as get the details of two character references.

Volunteering will take place at one of the schools we work with, which the volunteer picks based on their location

Guildford, (Christ's College), Banstead (The Beacon School), Sunbury Manor school (Sunbury on Thames Middlesex), Aldershot (Ash Manor school), Ashford (Thomas Knyvett College), Redhill (Carrington school) and, Esher (Hinchley Wood school),

They are currently in need of mentors at Thomas Knyvett School, Ashford TW15 3DU and The Beacon School, Banstead SM7 1AG
