We are excited to be partnering with Chessington Garden Centre once again this half-term. Alongside the garden centre’s Halloween Circus and Virtual Reality Halloween ride, Rainbow Trust will be running interactive Halloween themed stalls, aimed at visiting children.

We are looking for volunteers to help us ensure the smooth running of these activities. Main responsibilities will include running these stalls, taking donations and interacting with the general public.

What skills do I need?

There will be a variety of roles throughout the day, and we will ensure that volunteers man different stalls throughout their time volunteering with us.

The stalls will be:

Witches Hat Hoopla,  Target Shooting

Arts and Crafts Stalls,  Hook a pumpkin,  and Halloween Trail.

Upon arrival:

Please sign in at reception, telling them that you are volunteering with Rainbow Trust.

Once you have signed in, make your way to the events room, which is located outside through the plants section, and on the left of the pet’s centre. There, you will be assigned an activity station for the day and given a Rainbow Trust t-shirt.

Parking: Chessington Garden Centre has a large car park, in which you can park for free.

Food: As a volunteer you will receive a significant discount on hot drinks and food at Chessington Garden Centre, who serve a range of hot and cold food. Staff should automatically provide the discount - if you are wearing a Rainbow Trust T-shirt, please prompt them if it is not applied. Equally, please feel free to bring your own lunch and snacks.

What to wear: Please dress comfortably (jeans/trainers are fine) and we will provide you with a Rainbow Trust t-shirt on arrival. We recommend bringing a warm coat in case you are stationed outside or near a door.
