About Us

The Woodhouse Craft Centre is a welcoming community space where creativity, connection and wellbeing come together. We support local people through craft, friendship and purposeful activity, helping reduce isolation and build confidence.

The Role

We are looking for a creative and enthusiastic volunteer to help us grow our online presence and share the wonderful work happening at The Woodhouse Craft Centre.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys digital content, storytelling and community engagement, and wants to make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities

  • Updating and maintaining our website (news, events, photos, basic content updates)
  • Creating and scheduling social media posts (Facebook & Instagram)
  • Promoting workshops, open days and fundraising events
  • Sharing stories about our volunteers and community impact
  • Taking photos (where appropriate) to showcase activities
  • Helping develop a simple content plan or posting schedule
  • Monitoring engagement and suggesting ideas to grow our reach

What skills do I need?

Skills & Qualities

  • Confident using social media platforms
  • Basic website editing experience (Ideally used to working with CREATE software, but training can be provided)
  • Good written communication skills
  • Creative, proactive and organised
  • Friendly and aligned with our community values
  • An interest in crafts, community work or local engagement would be lovely
