The Workshop Camberley (VSNS)
The Workshop offers young people 18-24 living in Surrey Heath free careers advice and is looking for volunteers to support the running of the project. They are based in the Square Camberley and open to the public.
Volunteers would be involved in:
Providing a warm and welcoming introduction to the service by chatting to anyone dropping in.
Taking details of interested young people.
Being there to provide information about the service such as job research.
Updating notice boards in a creative way.
Helping with admin work and joining in with events.
Have a positive outlook to inspire and support the clients.
Be proficient in basic IT, Word and Excel.
Give a regular, reliable commitment and ideally be able to offer some flexibility if needed.
Be able to communicate with young people and enjoy helping them navigate life.
Have an educational or careers background, desired but not essential.
Be creative with presentations.
