SUMMARY:GDPR Training
DESCRIPTION:Voluntary Support are delighted to announce that we will be running GDPR training on Monday\, 15 July led by Jason Gaskell\, Chief Executive of Surrey Community Action. \nGDPR is far more than just asking people to tick a box on a “do not contact” form\, but it’s not as complex as it seems at first glance\, or some make it seem. Whether you are new to GDPR\, or just need a refresher\, why not join us for a whistle-stop tour of what GDPR is\, why we should care\, and what should we do about it. Jason Gaskell has trained over 150 organisations from across the voluntary sector to help them on their GDPR journey\, as well as going through his own as CEO of Surrey Community Action\, so he knows how to make it simple\, accessible to all\, and what happens when things go wrong. \nThis training session will run between 1pm and 4pm at ADP UK Head Office in Staines. Tea and coffee will be provided on the day. \nIf you have any questions about the GDPR training\, please do not hesitate to get in touch. Please email jordan@voluntarysupport.org.uk or give us a call on 01932 571122.

SUMMARY:Volunteer Managers' Forum - 6th December via Zoom
DESCRIPTION:Our Volunteer Managers Forum is open to anyone who works or volunteers in North Surrey and is involved in recruiting or managing/supervising volunteers. Volunteer management can be a solitary role within an organisation. Our Forum is a great way to meet other people doing a similar role and to share experiences. \nWe are pleased to have Tribe\, an online care and support platform\, coming to talk about how to advertise volunteering opportunities and manage volunteers on their platform. \nWe will also look at the importance of role descriptions\, examples of good practice when it comes to role descriptions\, and guidance for creating effective role descriptions. There will be a chance to network with other organisations too.
