Over the summer, our Ukrainian team supported three women from our Runnymede and Surrey Heath drop-ins to showcase their crochet toys, arts and crafts at local fêtes. We helped them by providing a stall space, helping with the display, and encouraging them to share their skills with the wider community.

The support was aimed at building confidence, helping people to feel valued, and creating opportunities to connect with local residents. For the women involved, it was a chance not only to present their talents but also to feel a greater sense of belonging and pride. One  said it was the first time since arriving in the UK that she had felt truly part of the community.
