BRITE Box family recipe meal kit volunteering Elmbridge (CSVA)

Can you help us to encourage local children to enjoy cooking, develop skills in the kitchen and provide their families with delicious, balanced, affordable meals ?

BRITE Box is a family recipe meal kit provided to families at risk of food insecurity but more than that aims to bring families together around food in the home, encouraging children to gain cooking skills and confidence in the kitchen, try new foods, flavours and recipes and develop a healthy relationship with food from a young age.

We are very happy to be creating a BRITE Box hub at the Lower Green Community Centre in Esher to prepare and pack BRITE Boxes for families in Elmbridge.

We are looking for volunteers to join our friendly team :

Portion ingredients on a Thursday afternoon 1.00-3.15pm

Pack BRITE Boxes on Fridays 11.45 - 2.15pm

Friendly drivers to deliver to local Elmbridge schools 1-3 pm (latest) using available minibus or own car

What skills do I need?

Happy to work as part of a team Basic health and hygiene re food portioning Able to lift light loads (up to 5kg) for Friday packing Driving for deliveries.
