Design is all about thinking in images and that's really important at include.org and The Include Choir. It's a big part of inclusive communication which helps people with understanding and speaking disabilities. We are looking for a designer who knows how to create the clearest messages and the biggest impact using images. Great designers are essential in helping us make sure that our marketing materials and communication resources are the best they can be. The main priority will be helping us present our strategy and content in a streamlined and professional way, throughout our website, social media platforms and literature as well as designing fliers for events.

What skills do I need?

  • No formal qualifications required.
  • You must have an inclusive attitude, be creative and think outside the box.
  • The ability to prioritise and multitask and a good sense of humour are also important. it would be desirable to have experience using design software programmes, but training in using basic Powerpoint and Publisher can be provided if needed.
  • Training will also be provided in using "Photosymbols" an inclusive communication tool.
  • Experience of working with people with learning or communication disabilities is desirable but not essential.
