As an Events Assistant volunteer you will provide support at our events taking place throughout the year. These range from sporting events, summer fetes, bridge drives, open gardens, luncheons etc. The role is varied and encompasses a number of different duties depending on the event; from car park marshalling at our busier events, to help setting up and manning a stall at our fete.

Time commitment A completely flexible approach throughout the year. Events assistants are emailed regarding upcoming events, if you are available and willing to help, you can simply reply to the email offering your assistance. If not, please don’t worry. We don’t mind you saying ‘no’, if you don’t mind us asking!

Tasks and activities

Ranging from car park marshalling, supervising on one of our stalls or games stations, serving tea and cake, attending a cheer station, set-up and take-down of equipment, the list goes on.

The email that you receive will give details of the event and duties required, so that you are aware of what is involved There are a variety of different duties, depending on the event taking place Providing general support at our numerous events throughout the year
