East Park Riding for the Disabled Group (Lingfield) (RDA)
East Park RDA Funding Trustee
At Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA), our horses benefit the lives of over 25,000 disabled children and adults nationwide. With fun activities like riding and carriage driving, we provide therapy, fitness, skills development and opportunities for achievement to children with a wide range of physical and mental disabilities.
East Park RDA
East Park Riding for the Disabled Group is a registered Charitable Incorporated Organisation providing small group riding sessions for disabled children from local schools. It operates from a riding stable near Newchapel.
The Group provides riding lessons for up to 48 riders a week during the school term time. In addition, riders may compete in regional and national RDA events.
Funding is crucial to ensure this valuable work continues. The Funding Trustee helps to generate the income so that the Group can continue to provide disabled children with these amazing benefits.
The CIO is run by a small group of trustees, who meet four times each year on a weekday evening between 6.30 and 8.30. It is a very enthusiastic team who like to work in a relaxed and friendly environment.
The CIO relies on grants and donations to raise some £17,000 per year to enable it to continue operating. There are established links with grant making bodies and donors and the CIO has an excellent reputation among local companies and councils.
