Gardener

We are looking for 2-3 volunteers with a keen interest in gardening to help us maintain our grounds around an hour or two a week, depending on how many people are interested.   The areas that we need help with are:

1. Our pond area - This is about to go through a revamp and will need regular tending once the project is complete.  This will include things like weeding, cutting back branches, checking of water levels, clearing out excessive pond weed and clearing of dead leaves

2. Our woodland area - This will include help with clearing pathways, weeding, some cutting back occasionally, assistance with planting.

3. Memorial Garden - This will include monitoring and tending to flower beds in garden, fence painting, potting plants and weeding.

4. General site - tending to flower beds and weeding.

We have a contract with a Grounds Maintenance company who come twice a month to do the larger work so no any major physical work or mowing grass is required.  Tools can be provided.

What skills do I need?

Knowledge about gardens and have a love of the outdoors.  Enjoy working in a collaborative, nurturing environment with children.
