Hope at Home run the only hosting scheme specifically for survivors of modern slavery in the UK.

We train, safeguard and support hosts who have a spare bedroom and the goodwill to welcome a survivor into their homes for a fixed period of time and our hosts are couples, families and single people who care about the marginalised in society and want to see individuals find freedom.

We are currently looking for more hosts across Surrey due to the numbers of referrals we are dealing with – these are people who are recognised as survivors of modern slavery by the Home Office but who are often facing homelessness, are at high risk of re-exploitation and need a safe place to stay for anywhere between about 4 weeks and 6 months.

What skills do I need?

- can offer a warm welcome to a survivor of modern slavery - a sense of humour and open to learning - open minded and can accept difference and diversity - has a spare bedroom and willing to share household facilities
